Anantara

A new model for community healthcare leveraging technology and education

A new model was developed for refurbishing Anganwadis in India, alongside ensuring supply chain without pilferage using technology, for community healthcare. Anganwadis in the state of Telangana were refurbished and equipped with biometric systems for vending machines that gave out medicines for pregnant women and re-imagined education materials for pre-school children.

The Stargazers’ Anantara pilot centre is being built in Nizamabad in Andhra Pradesh (India) with a solar panel kit to provide students with 24x7 electricity for reading, and machines with medicines catered to pregnant women, as part of the Anantara initiative. The architects team from Brussels Alice Boudet-Dalbin and Alexis De Bosscher just finished the project. The pictures speak for themselves.

Stargazers Fellowship - An initiative to empower young Indian girls to achieve their dreams through an opportunity to study at top universities of the world, starting with our partner, King’s College London.

Anantara was driven by the Stargazers Foundation, with support received from Reconstructed Living Labs South Africa and the Lebara Foundation United Kingdom.
