Carbon management: Methodologies and tools for carbon accounting and management.

Industrial decarbonisation: Cutting-edge solutions across industries for reducing emissions.

Climate regulations and policies: Navigating current regulations and preparing for future changes.

Programme Curriculum

The programme curriculum is structured around 3 Curriculum Pillars - Technical skills, Leadership, and Project. Each Curriculum Pillar is offered by one or more modes of delivery - Self-paced modules, Masterclasses online, Masterclasses in-person - providing a progressive approach to learning and flexibility.

The programme is designed such that aspects of the programme that learners are typically able to self-learn are offered through self-paced learning, based on the belief that teachers are no longer information providers but instead add value by sparking deep reflection, inspiration, and conceptual understanding. All aspects covered in self-paced modules are supported by live masterclasses from industry experts, and then complimented by in-person discussions catalysed by leading global acamedicians during a 1-week in-person Climate Leaders Retreat.

Thus, under the first curriculum pillar of 'technical skills', 4 subjects - Science of climate action, Nature & carbon management, Industrial decarbonisation, and Climate regulations and policies - are covered through self paced modules as well as masterclasses online. However, we believe that in-person discussions and debates in the classroom and outside of it, provide depth to conceptual understanding, reflection and formation of opinions, that online communications do not. All 4 subjects are therefore also taught during the in-person leadership retreat through Masterclasses in-person, where leading scientists work with learners to question the status quo and reflect.

The second curriculum pillar of 'Leadership', is delivered in-person during the Climate Leaders Retreat. Leadership training is split into two broad parts - Systems thinking; Knowing & management of self & others. Both parts are integral skills critical for leaders who need to work through ecosystems of various departments, board members, regulators, investors, to lead them towards responsible business. Driven by the understanding that such learnings can only be availed through live interventions and experiences, facilitated by expert specialists using powerful scientific techniques, the curriculum pillar for leadership is delivered through in-person workshops, preceded by coaching chemsitry checks and a personal coaching session delivered online to set the pace and context.

The programme brings together industry experts as mentors. We understand the need for technical input to climate projects, and the difficulty in attaining this. We also understand that our learners often have a sustainability and climate related project(s) that they would like to drive, if they got the support for it. The project could be an entreprenurial venture, an intrapreneurial initiative, a new technology innovation, or something else similar. This is why, the programme offers Learners work with the opportunity to build their projects by leveraging the expertise within the cohort but also that of the 6 mentors of the programme. The third curriculum pillar of learners building their 'Projects' runs all through the programme and is assessed through two simple metrics of attainment of project and the effort put in.
